UT Austin discusses responding to feedback with a social media strategy change with Vitrue – Fans have been very loud and clear about what they don’t want. One of the things they are most vocal about is not wanting to be sold or marketed to, especially on Facebook. They want to come to those terms on their own. We learned this the hard way by looking at analytics and realizing that the strategy we had wasn’t working. The way we are going about it now still results in sales but we are just involving people and engaging them more. This is working out much better for us.
